Environment and verification scope

This guide follows the current feature implementation and existing setup guidance. Images identify screenshots or illustrations. Complete recording workflows have not been revalidated across Windows, macOS, and Android for this guide. Sharing options, permissions, and playback restrictions depend on your actual environment.

Open notes during recording or from recording details to read a summary, generate a mind map, and ask about the lecture. AI notes organize finalized captions in the recording's target language. Verify important conclusions against the original audio and course materials.

Prepare the recording and content

Web, Windows/macOS desktop, and Android provide notes. Recognition, notes, maps, and chat need internet access and the relevant services. Pending local desktop recordings need to sync before cloud AI features are available in recording details.

Prepare your project and translation language, optionally following the PDF terminology guide. Recordings under one minute do not generate notes. At the start of a session, notes may wait for enough class content.

Open Summary during class

  1. Start recording and confirm that original captions appear. If they do not, use the audio and caption checklist.
  2. Open notes from the translation toolbar. Desktop layouts use a panel; mobile typically uses a separate full-screen view.
  3. Select Summary to inspect Current topic and organized lecture notes.
  4. Allow finalized captions and processing time to accumulate. Expected result: notes gradually cover the lecture rather than copying each caption word by word.

Live updates depend on content increments and timing conditions. Enabling two-way translation does not change the original target language used for the recording's AI features.

Check relationships with a mind map

Once notes are available, switch to Mind map and allow generation to finish. Explore relationships between concepts, then check them against captions and audio.

Expected result: a map based on this recording's notes. If there are no notes yet, inspect summary generation first. A missing map does not by itself establish that audio capture failed.

Ask about this recording

Switch to Chat, create or choose a conversation, and ask a recording-specific question, such as:

  • What conditions did the lecturer give for this model?
  • Which example explained correlation and causation?
  • Were assignment requirements stated? Separate explicit instructions from inference.

Wait for the answer, then check it against the class content. A recording can have multiple conversations for different questions. Confirm the selected recording when revisiting history. Stopping generation and deleting a conversation are separate actions; read any deletion confirmation.

Handle missing or outdated notes

  • Waiting for content: check finalized captions, not only elapsed recording time.
  • Recording under one minute: review captions and audio directly; it does not generate notes.
  • Existing notes not updated: keep reading available content while checking connectivity and state, and use the offered retry control if appropriate.
  • Service unavailable or generation failed: follow the specific prompt rather than creating repeated recordings to retry notes.
  • Map or chat failed: inspect that feature's feedback separately and retain available captions and notes.

Complete a review after class

End recording and wait for saving. Open it in the course project, read the notes, and identify unanswered questions. Replay audio alongside captions to verify numbers, definitions, formulas, and assignment requirements, then add your own explanations and practice.

Confirm sync before reviewing on another device. AI may omit or misunderstand details. See the English lecture guide for the full routine and AI lecture notes for feature scope.
